What you can do is pray

Pray for wisdom for our leaders. Pray for wisdom in ourselves. Pray that God's will be done.

What you can do is make America a country that receives God's blessing.

God wants to bless America (and all nations), both as a nation and us individually. He has given America many blessings in the past. He may still be blessing America - or it may be possible we no longer have God's blessing.

Why does God bless a nation? God blesses those who do His will.

Ask yourself, have we (Americans) been doing God's will? Do you know what God's will is? What He wants us to do?

What you can do is to give, and be ready to accept a different lifestyle.

People are already giving blood. People are donating money. America is ready and willing to make sacrifices so that our military might can overcome terrorism. We know the final outcome. There are no doubts that we will win.

But what if it takes more than military action? Are you willing to sacrifice to build school in Iraq? Are you will to sacrifice to build a road or dig a well in Afghanistan?

Not since World War II have the people of America had to sacrifice to win a war. The Vietnam War and the Gulf War were television wars that did not significantly touch the lives of most Americans. That may not be the case this time. And to win this war we may be called on to sacrifice in unexpected ways.
