News From Mission to America

The LORD has been doing a lot with MTA these past few months, as you'll see from all the news below. Our ministry has become focused on providing free ministry tools and training, as well as supporting missions.

It has been amazing how the Lord has met all our needs, so I'm not asking for anything except for your prayer... and please do keep us in your prayers. That is so very important. Oh... and I don't want to forget this, if you are a guy, I am trying to recruit you to join me on a mission trip to Russia next June (see below).

But there is another, more important reason for this newsletter. There is one prayer request that is at the top of my thoughts, more so than prayer for my ministry or anything Mission to America is doing. Here it is...

Prayer Request for Natasha

There is a 12 year old girl in Dimitrovgrad, Russia who needs your prayers.

Her name is Natasha. She was born with serious birth defects. (Read about Natasha here.) We are attempting to arrange to have her treated at the Shriners Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts. BUT... the first step is to find a family she can live with between surgeries. The hospital will not consider her application until a place for her to live is guaranteed. Please be praying that a family will be found in Massachusetts.

FREE Online School For Biblical Witnessing

Featuring 32 lessons, 36 videos, text, MP3 audio lessons and more, the new MTA School of Biblical Witnessing went online at the end of November. Russian Missionary To Muslims

In the last newsletter I shared about a young Russian woman who needed financial and prayer help to get her through Bible college and prepared to be a missionary to Muslims. MTA is acting as the mission agency for her, handling donations and support. She did receive additional financial support and has made it to South Africa where the school is located. Free Creation Evangelism / Apologetic Tools

We are working on ministry tools to help strengthen the faith of believers.

Believing in the Biblical account of creation is not a requirement for becoming a Christian. But, Satan has used Darwin as a powerful tool for the past 150 years. In addition to the testimony on our web site, we are making available free downloads of MP3 Biblical creation audio lessons by Dr. Donald Chittick and by Steve Hudgik. We are also working on producing a DVD of Steve's popular Jesus Code message about dinosaurs and the Bible... download MP3 files here

Prayer Request: please pray that all of the visuals needed for the Jesus Code DVD will be provided, and made available without cost. Also pray that the Lord will make other video and audio Biblical creation resources available, in a way such that they may be freely given away.

Free Gospel Tracts

If you get a chance go to our home page and watch the video you'll find near the bottom of the page. It is called "George Street". It tells an amazing story of witnessing using gospel tracts.

We are working to produce gospel tracts, in a number of languages including English, Russian and Spanish. We have completed a tract that can be used with the excellent evangelistic film MOST (The Bridge) and are now working on an Invitation to Heaven tract that can be downloaded and printed on a computer printer... see what is currently available

Prayer Request: for guidance in knowing what tracts to create and what scripture, words and images to use.

Russian Mission Trip

Rumor has it that I'll be going back to Russia on a mission trip in June of 2008. I'll have more information about this in our spring newsletter.

However, I am looking for a man who would be interested in going to Russia with me, and leaving a few days before the group leaves in order to do ministry in a city not reached by the regular mission trip. I expect the total trip will take about two weeks, roughly in the middle of June. Please get in touch with Steve if you are interested. (mta@mtainfo.com)

Prayer Request: That the Lord's will be done as Steve makes decisions about a mission trip in 2008 and in finding someone who can go with Steve to Russia.

Closing Thoughts and Notes:

We want to give away ministry resources: Our goal is to provide ministry resources that are non-copyrighted and free. We want people to be able to freely download ministry resources, be able to copy them and give them to others. For example, most of the MP3 downloads we offer are non-copyrighted and may be freely copied. That's our mission.

Over the past seven years we've given away thousands of books, CDs and videos. By the way, if you'd like a copy of an important book called "America's Real War" by by Rabbi Daniel Lapin, I'll be happy to give you a copy. We do ask, however, that you pay the postage ($4.60 - or just send us a Priority Mail stamp). This offer is valid while supplies last.
