Repent sins (the Greek word metanoeo):
To change your thoughts and actions. To turn away from sin

According to Zodhiates (Complete Wordstudy Dictionary, New Testament), theologically repentance involves regret or sorrow, accompanied by a true change of heart toward God.

Sorrow for unbelief and sin, and turning from them toward God and the Gospel of Christ.
