He said to him, "If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead."

We think that, if only Jesus would come now. If I could meet Jesus. If I personally saw Him perform a miracle, I'd know He was Gold. I'd know the Bible was true.

But miracles do not result in people believing. Throughout the first four books of the New Testament we read about people who see Jesus' miracles and they do not believe in Him. Jesus raised three people from the dead, and still only a few believed Him.

And He [Jesus] came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise!" The dead man sat up and began to speak. (NASB) Luke 7:14-15

They laughted at him, knowing that she was dead. But he took her by the hand said, "My child get up!" Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. (NIV) Luke 8:53-54

Lazarous had been dead and buried for four days when Jesus raised him from the dead. Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen and a cloth around his face. (NIV) John 11:43-44

What Abraham says here is true, if you don't believe the Bible, you probably won't believe Jesus in person.

Consider this: Jesus is the ONLY religious leader who who healed the blind. No one from any other religion has ever done that. Jesus is the ONLY religious leader who raised people from the dead. No one from any other religion has ever done that. Jesus is the ONLY religious leader who was killed, and then came back from the dead. No other religious leader has ever done that. It's a fact that neither the Romans nor the Pharasees could disprove -- there were too many eye witnesses.

How can you not believe Jesus and the Bible?
